Due to popular interest, I've decided to revisit the subject of my last post and publish a few more pix from the Pride Run. Thanks to all my regular readers for your comments, and welcome to new readers who may be visiting from Lucy Lawless news sites, Xena news sites, forums and boards.
If you're coming here for the first time, you might want to check out my other Xena-related material. You can use the search feature or the Index page to help locate what you're looking for. As a starting point, may I recommend that you check out my Xena and Gabrielle Sims?
Back to the Pride Run. In the first photo shown here, Lucy has just discovered a piece of the costume she was going to wear for the gay and lesbian pride parade, and immediately put it on. You can see she is talking to one of the run competitors. I don't know her name, although I did meet several nice people, all Lucy fans, at the event. In any case, I think she wound up winning a medal at the finish, plus a hug and a kiss on the cheek from Lucy, who gave out the awards.
I selected this other photo simply as a form of torture for you all. There were no tables available, so Lucy was signing on people's backs. Can you imagine? Your frickin' back! Not only does SHE WALK AMONG US but she signs on our backs. I am astounded by this evidence of a caring and beneficent god.
By the way, for my regular readers, that is not the Cute Little Red-Headed Girlfriend in the picture. And to my new visitors, please feel free to leave comments.

Hi Teresa!
I'm an Irish lesbian Xenite, member of XenaNetUK list where one of our members posted the URL for your great pics! Didn't think it was possible to become more devoted to the FLawless one than I am, but reports like yours fan the flames (or make the fans go up in flames?). I've now bookmarked your blog and am having fun trying out your links! Thanks a million!

Whoah, T, indeed!!! She did WALK AMONGST US. It felt like THE SECOND COMING - hopefully there will be 2, 3, 4, 5 more COMINGS with her Walking Amongst Us. As you know, I really tried to psyche myself up in preparing to meet Lucy, determined to walk up to her and engage her in some witty repartee, but alas, the vapors from my Lucy haze had deteriorated my brain cells and my synapses and neurons wouldn't engage, reducing me to a mute imbecile. But what can you do, standing in the glow of the Goddess? Call Ghostbusters? They're out of business. Perhaps there will be another time when She Will Walk Among Us and I will be able to conduct myself more appropriately - and maybe not. All I know is that I will treasure the experience of seeing and meeting(?)her for the rest of my life.

Dear In Sequence,
The board of L.A. Frontrunners decided not to have Ms. Lawless trapped behind a table away from the crowd so that she could interact with the participants. As you can tell, that method was a huge success and Lucy was a great sport and really enjoyed meeting her fans. I hope to see you all at next year's Los Angeles Pride Run, although we are not decided on next year's celebrity host. And I agree with you, lesbian fans often get nada from Hollywood. I'm glad we could adress that this year, at least at the Pride Run. Thanks for your support.
Sincerely,
Tanya S. Haney
